LEVEL 1 SYLLABUS- THE FOUNDATIONS
Establishing correct structure, preparing the body & repairing health
STRETCHING & SOFTENING THE BODY
This stage helps release tightness from the body that has accumulated over time due to injury, postural bad habits and lifestyle.
This is not competitive. It is encouraged  to take ones time with this stage as everyone's body is different & change differs with each individual as the body relaxes, softens& opens.
SPINE WAVES & SCAPULA WORK
Spine waves help to open up the vertebrae preparing the body for movement of Qi, spine health & flexibility .
Scapula work encourages full movement of the shoulder joints. Modern life & workloads have made shoulders an area of the body that has become quite stuck. Working on the shoulders will release built up tensions & enable a fuller range of movement.
WUJI POSTURE
This posture is fundamental to all the practices.
Qi is able to circulate at it's most optimum level, body alignments become good as there is a letting go of held tensions as muscles relax.
SUNG, TING & YI
Students will learn the skills for Sung breathing, a method to help release the layers of physical, emotional & energetic tensions.

Ting is the skill of inner attention. A quality of 'inner listening', observing inner movement.

Yi is the skill of using different degrees of attention for leading Qi around the body to help with nourishing & regulating (Qi Gong) or for purging out from the body (Wu DaoYins)

Dao De Jing
Sacred text of Daoist philosophy
A person is born gentle and weak,
Yet at their death they are hard and stiff.
All universal things, like green plants, are born tender and soft,
Yet at their death are withered and dry.
Therefore, the stiff and unbending is the school heading for death.
The gentle and yielding is the school heading for life.
Therefore, too strong an army would not win,
An unbending tree is easily broken.
The hard and strong position low,
The soft and weak position hgh
